What's goin on out there

There are many ways that we can find things that are going on in our area or around the world. It's interesting how many things can tell us that, whether it be the newspaper, city journals, the news on tv, listening to the radio, the internet and apps on our phones. The most popular way to see what's goin on is either through the internet, either on the computer or on our phones, or apps on our phones. I'm Andrea Ramey and I think this topic is very interesting. I usually wouldn't know if there was a certain concert going on, a specific 5K for a cause or that there was a recent burglary incident on campus unless I looked it up on the internet or got an email about it. I don't have a smart phone and if I did, I would be on it constantly, looking to see what's goin on in the world. The internet also has skype, so I am able to chat with my brother who's in the Coast Guard in Seattle or my sister and brother-in-law in Virginia. With that technology, I'm able to see them without being in the same room with them, let alone the same state. Being able to have that kind of contact with them, since I'm not able to see them in person at the moment, is amazing. And if I had an iphone, I'd be able to have Facetime, where I could use my phone to see and talk to them. Anyways, people need to know what's goin on and if they're not actually there in person when something happens, the internet is there for them within minutes of when that happens, to notify people of it. That's pretty impressive.
