When my parents first met they didn't have cell phones, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any of these dating sights that are out there now. They had to physically get to know each other. Meaning they had to actually talk to each other, go out on dates, meet each other's families and friends. They had to ask each other questions to find out what they liked and what their pet peeves were. Things back then were simple, you can just ask somebody out without any drama or extra tasks.
Now when my boyfriend and I got together things were totally different. I stalked him on Facebook, asked his friends about him and everything. I basically already knew him before we really even started dating. In our generation face to face coversation is hard to comeby because there are so many other ways of communicating with somebody else. I never had the courtship that my parents had because of the technology that has developed.
In my future blogs I am going to talk about how much technology has affected relationships over the years. Also, what was lost relationship wise amongst these technological advances.
